Description

One of Rösle's superb kitchen tools, this 9-1/2-inch cheese plane properly serves firm cheeses like cheddar, aged Gouda, Swiss, and jack. It's shaped something like a spatula, although with a blade in its center. Drawn across a block of cheese it neatly peels off a thin slice. The spatula part then lifts a slice and places it on a plate, cracker, or toast. Like all Rösle tools, utensils, and Open Kitchen storage components, the cheese plane is made of 18/10 stainless steel for rustproof beauty and long-lasting durability. The round handle has a satin finish to conceal finger marks. The handle is sealed against water and has a hanging ring so the cheese plane can be conveniently stored on a hook in the Open Kitchen system of Rösle basic rails and Gridwalls or hung on any hook or peg. The cheese plane is sturdy, balanced, and exceptionally comfortable in the hand. All Rösle products are made in Germany, are dishwasher-safe, and carry a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

TOP-NOTCH CHEESE PLANE - THAT'S PLAIN TO SEE!

Made in Germany this 9" stainless steel cheese plane is both handsome and utilitarian. We've had great good fortune slicing Cheddar, Parmesan, and other hard cheeses.

The plane is certainly sturdy and light enough to be easily used. A handle, approximately 4" long and 1/2" in diameter, fits nicely into the palm of your hand.

It comes from the dishwasher looking shiny new, and has a handy hanging loop at the tip of the handle.

worth the money

my husband got tired of the wire cheese slicer and we sprang for this one. it slices the cheese to a perfect thickness and doesn't bend with the cheese, warm or cold, hard or soft. we're really quite pleased.
good cheese plane, but a little pricey

the cheese plane works well, cuts nice thin even slices. takes pressure well. high quality construction. looks nice and modern. I throw it into the dishwasher with no issues. my biggest complain is really to do with the price... $30+ for this product is really pricy, when you consider the relative cost of say microplanes etc.
